Favorite Restaurants in Honolulu

If sushi is what you are craving, I recommend visiting Mitch's - it is my favorite sushi restaurant on Oahu. It is located close to the airport, so you would need transportation to get there. They have limited seating, so I highly recommend making a reservation. Also, they don't serve alcohol, so you have to bring your own. The sushi is very fresh and Ono (Hawaiian word for delicious). The picture above is from our most recent visit.

Sakura Terrace. Another sushi restaurant that we uncovered by accident. The sushi was fresh and the rolls are delicious.

                                            Restaurants in Waikiki:

Roy's. The Hawaiian Martini is my personal favorite and I always want to make sure I have space for dessert- the chocolate soufflé is a must-have! And if this is your first time in Hawaii, you have to try the miso yaki butterfish.

Roy's signature Hawaiian Martini

SushiDuraku Sushi.

Perfect for craving sushi- the fish is fresh and the rolls are delicious. Want to try a roll without rice? I highly recommend the Double happiness roll- it tastes very fresh and it is light.

Noi Thai Cousine.

If you are craving Thai food. It is located on the top floor of the Royal Hawaiian Shopping center. My favorite menu item is the red curry.

For all coffee lovers, I highly recommend it. They also have a restaurant right next door to the coffee shop- the food is delicious and beautifully presented. The fresh catch fish sandwich is a must-try.

Momosan Waikiki. This is probably the best vegetable ramen I’ve ever had! This one includes kale, tomatoes, fried tofu (very tasty) and corn.

Appetito. I like the atmosphere, and they have a good happy hour :)

Wai’olo Ocean Cusine. Outdoor seating, ocean view, great service, and delicious food.

Hula Grill. I recommend it based on its location: right on the ocean, centrally located in Waikiki, pleasant environment.

Duke's. And of course, you have to visit Duke's when you are in Waikiki. It is open during the day, so it's a great place to sip Pina Colada while taking a break from the beach. They have live entertainment daily and it's a good place to socialize and meet people.
